Yeah so it all started out with forums being popular and members participating in conversations, but this was overthrown whenever such things like MSN and Skype came around. People are now too lazy to log onto a forum to chat as they have MySpace to contact their friends.

Then it was blogging, every webmaster lately has their own blog to update their customers on what is happening. Blogging is probably one of the internet’s popular trend ever, among all there is blogs nearly anywhere you go. In my personal opinion I think everyone uses blogs over plain html because of the easy back end for adding articles and its extremely friendly with Google.

BUT since all of this is done, everyone is on Stand Still waiting to see what will be the next big trend on the internet? I have no suggestions on what will be next. Applications was a big thing, like applications for Bebo. Any suggestions leave a comment.

Google ‘This site may harm your computer’

No worries everyone this site is not harmful for your computer, at all. I am not even sure what Google thinks Just Gareth is bad for you, but I am working round trying to see what the bots might think is bad. Apart from that I am really pissed off the fact that Google is doing this whole this may harm your computer thing all of a sudden, but got the Site Map installed so it will stop this crap from happening anyway.

I will probably be posting more often since I got my web hosting up and running. Got a few project I’m working on, so check it out like. Catch you on the flip side.

Sites are becoming more and more worthless

Whenever I started I seen many ways of making money from, Google Adsense, GPT and freebies. I noticed there was one that many people used because they couldn’t do anything else and that is, flipping sites. You may say to yourself flipping sites? What the devil is that, but its one of the most things I hate in this world.

Gareth.. why do you hate flipping sites?
At the start every webmaster didn’t notice that there was more and more sites becoming for sale. Eventually it got to the stage where there was round 50 sites per hour listed onto Digital Point and Site Point, like proxies or turnkey websites.

Its only then that I found out why Site Point actually made it $5 to sell your site, to keep the crap sites out. When it comes to buying sites I really do prefer popping over to Site Point and checking it out because there is always decent websites making money, but on the other hand Digital Point just has pages full of crap like “Cheap proxies - $5 each”.

When it comes to selling my sites I don’t mind paying $5 to Site Point and also Digital Point. Its the fact that people are abusing Digital Point with the flipping of sites. From more and more websites being sold at cheap prices your site is going to have an effect on it too.

There needs to be something done Digital Point, I’m not saying charge members $5 to sell a site. I’m saying moderate the threads before posting them. Stop over flowing proxies onto the forum.

Generating cash on new blogs is hard, or is it?

I have recently got some friends into blogging and I am glad they are getting into the whole blogging community because you can update family and friends whilst make decent cash on the mighty internet. Everyone gets lost a stage and the place they get lost is when they make their blog and think how will I generate revenue and get visitors?

Everybody makes it out as if its hard which it really isn’t. Like I stated in the title of this blog post.. “Generating cash on new blogs is hard, or is it?“. I have listed to the right three sites (Bidvertiser, Chitika and Smorty) for you guys, unfortunately Blog Spot are tightening up and don’t allow either Bidvertiser or Chitika.

My thoughts upon Apple’s latest MacBook Air

I’m just gonna give you guys a brief on what I think of Apple’s latest MacBook Air. To be honest it was amazing on WWDC when he opened an envelope and he lifted a tiny, thin laptop out. I definitely think that the MacBook Air will grow in popularity with businesses and student’s as they need something light and small to drag around them through airports and classes.

What I like about this is generally the size of the MacBook, its amazing how many companies will not be able to compete with the MacBook Air especially Toshiba’s latest laptop. Toshiba says their laptop is small and compatible, but when you compare the two laptops it doesn’t take a genius to tell which one is better. (more…)

Whenever I started making websites my brother was into blogging and always told me I should start blogging, but I always thought it was a bit lame. Now I regret it because I could have been making twice as much money off my blogs as I’m making now.

I’ve been generous and gave some reasons why some people should become bloggers. I love blogging and really have became addicted to making a blog post each day. Also I’ve been trying to persuade a friend Josh and several others to get into blogging and this post is directed in their way as well. (more…)

The new theme for Just Gareth

I’ve been talking about getting a new theme for Just Gareth lately and never really got a very nice one. Yet again I was browsing round Digital Point forums and shortly afterwards I bought a unique Wordpress theme for JustGareth! I was exactly planning to get a theme for the site, but now I don’t regret it because its pretty kick ass.

Been thinking about releasing the theme as a freebie to my members of the site, but I am not really sure as I could just get some other themes made for the freebie section of the blog. I’m trying to compete with the other big making money online blogs as you can see and so far its going good, I’ve gained more attention from John Chow lately just by a few comments. It has gave me quite a bit of traffic over this month so far. (more…)

The story behind Gareth Boyd was going to be a blog a bit like Just Gareth is today. I lost the domain because I didn’t pay for the renewal and it ended up going to some cacky company and only recently have I gotten it back. Only if I had that blog today, I would be still getting a fat cheque from Google.

I guess I’m gonna blog on both sites, dunno how this will work. Might make Gareth Boyd.com the money making site and this site the second site down. Dunno, I will let you guys know what’s gonna happen.

Such a snowy night

It started snowing tonight, such a bummer.. I wish it snowed in school so you would’ve got to hit all the wee twats in first year! The night it snowed, so I felt the need for a run to Galgorm which is about a mile or two from my house in the fresh air. Did me good.. some snaps with the iPhone.
