My thoughts upon Apple’s latest MacBook Air
Written at 13 February 2008, 12:53 am by Gareth in TechnologyI’m just gonna give you guys a brief on what I think of Apple’s latest MacBook Air. To be honest it was amazing on WWDC when he opened an envelope and he lifted a tiny, thin laptop out. I definitely think that the MacBook Air will grow in popularity with businesses and student’s as they need something light and small to drag around them through airports and classes.
What I like about this is generally the size of the MacBook, its amazing how many companies will not be able to compete with the MacBook Air especially Toshiba’s latest laptop. Toshiba says their laptop is small and compatible, but when you compare the two laptops it doesn’t take a genius to tell which one is better.
Toshiba’s Portege R500 claims to be the world’s lightest and convenient laptop in the market. For one I think it looks horrible… Take a look at the picture to the left and look at Toshiba’s creation. Now below I’m gonna show you the MacBook Air and its wonderful design and thinness.
This is what I expected Apple to bring out, a MacBook targeted just at business men and people who travel a lot which require a small and convenient laptop. The only downsides is the CD-ROM drive and price. I think many companies will buy a MacBook Air for their traveling employees.
What I’m really trying to get at is, I wouldn’t dive straight into buying the MacBook Air just yet! I would wait until the next WWDC because they will bring out a new version and it probably would be worth the wait incase there’s any mistakes with the Mac.
